Praying on Ishtar’s Gate

This  is a song  we can’t  sing twice

Ishtar! Shall I roll the dice?

Is love as divine as the Sky?

Or is nature herself a lie?

For no other god I shall pray

You  alone shall guide my way

Your fire is the eternal song

It may dim,  but is never wrong

She can heal the earthly  fears

With a drop of divine tears:

Fate is  the one who shall learn

To play by our rules this turn

This night , there’s no place for chance

The stars above will  light our dance

The power of time will  be gone

When the moon shall hold the sun
